A Tale of Greed, Murder, and Kidnapping
Florida's wildlife is under threat. Fish and Wildlife Officer Seth Grayson discovers an old poacher, Hap Dunbar, involved in trafficking Florida's freshwater turtles. His grandsons are collecting turtles for their grandpa, unaware it's illegal.
The traffickers threaten Dunbar's family, forcing him to cooperate and collect more turtles. Dunbar refuses, is beaten, and eventually murdered, and his grandsons are kidnapped and forced to collect turtles for the traffickers.
Officer Grayson and his partner, on and off the job, Officer Liz Corday, race against time to bring the boys home and stop the shipment of turtles from leaving Florida. But the job is not done when one of the traffickers is still on the loose.
A vicious Asian organization is at the heart of the operation where turtles are worth killing for.
About the Author
I was educated in Boston and now live in Florida. I came to writing late in life.
I received the President's Award from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association at their event in Orlando, Florida, for my novel Honey Tree Farm - For the Love of the Beekeeper's Daughter. My book The Alligator Dance has received two accolades. Sailing away to Nod received a silver award from the Florida Authors and Publishers. In 2022 it received the Eyeland International award for a children's book. I'm thrilled that others are enjoying my books.
I'm a past President of the Sarasota Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. I love the art and culture that the Sarasota area has to offer. There are just so many wonderfully creative people here.
I'm a member of the Florida Authors and Publishers Association, Sarasota Fiction Writers, and on the board of the Florida Writers Association.
I am the founder and president of ABC-Books, Inc., a networking organization to help other self-published authors connect and share information. We are a 501c3 and promote literacy in the area.
